Austro Daimier SE Road Bike - $230 (fairmount ave)
Austro Daimier SE Road Bike (Made by Puch), racing bike with down tube shifting.
Very, very light and smooth bike. Bright red color.
Huret derailleurs and Weinmann braking system.
fits 5/3-5/7 rider
53cm frame
Puch happened upon the world's best font and decided to make a bike to put it on, and thus was born Austro Daimler. Two popped up back to back. The first, an SE, I couldn't find much on. Judging from the componants we can tell it was a lower end model owing to the foam grips and pie plate. The cranks look like they're Nervar, too. Even though this was probably bottom rung for them the frame might be decent stuff. It doesn't look dull like I usually associate Hi Tensile steel with, and if you squint you can tell the lugs are a little flashy. I suspect this could be a solid cro mo frame. But, and it's a big but, $230 is pretty steep considering everything else on the bike. Especially when considering just the day before...

Austro Diamler Inter 10 (1972) Campagnolo Chorus - 57 cm - $250 (Center City)
Selling this Austro Diamler Inter 10, an older Austrian steel road bike.
Made from Reynolds 531, the best steel for comfort, strength, and
flexibility. Having a custom steel frame built, so Ill no longer need
this. Sad to see it go. The wheelset alone is worth $150.
Frame/fork: Austro Diamler Inter 10 - Reynolds 531 steel - 57 cm, 1'' threaded fork
Wheelset: Campy Chorus hubs 36 spoke - perfectly true, never had an issue with these wheels
Wobler TX Profil rims, 23 mm profile (french made)
Conti super sport tires (NEVER had a flat for my 6+ years on this bike)
Groupset: Campy Chorus groupset (hubs, cassett, brakes, ergopower
shifters, front/rear deraileur), Crankset is Ultegra (I found it was
spinning smoother than the chorus crankset)
Other: Richtey seatpost, Selle Italia Turbomatic 3, Syncros drop bars, Zoom quill stem
Everything runs smooth on the bike. Though, the brakes tend to go out of
alignment, an easy fix if you have a wrench that fits (I dont).
The bike is a bit dinged up, but it is all cosmetic.
Pedals aren't included.
For another $20 you can step up in the A-D heirarchy. The paint is a little rough and nothing on this is original, but you are getting pretty good parts especially at this price. You almost wouldn't want to ask too many questions when you go to pick it up.
The cranks look like they're Nervar, too. Even though this was probably bottom rung for them the frame toolox might be decent stuff. It doesn't look dull like I usually associate Hi Tensile steel with, and if you squint you can tell the lugs are a little flashy.
