Hosteler Parisian?

http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/bik/3849874296.html
Hosteler single speed Road bike (minnetonka)

Bike is made for someone 5'5"-5'10"
-good tires, brakes, rims are true, tires are aired.
Needs a screw-that I don't have.
Bike is rideable just a little of without said screw.
This money is going towards my next one so I would like to get it off ASAP for the summer.
BEST OFFER

You're killing me with these pictures.  The top is the picture from the ad, the bottom is from googling so you can get an actual look at the bike.  Also, needs a screw, but it's rideable without said screw.

I had never heard of Hosteler but some searching turns up that everyone who owns one is from Minnesota.  It looks like these bikes were imported from the Wheel Goods Corporation of Minneapolis and just sold in the area.  It was also suggested these were built in France or West Germany, and the catalog scan on Velo Pages has two likely named models, The Parisian and The Bavarian.

Judging solely from the Weinmen brakes (picture not included) I'm guessing this was a Parisian in its' former life, the higher end of the two.  It was the sport tourer, standard with a frame pump, fenders, and an Ideale saddle.  30 lbs and lots of no name stuff, so really just a bike boom oddball for when hostels were more about broke kids named Manfred.  I do really like that wacky headlug, though.

  1. There's a REALLY good chance that is the bike I once owned. I sold it in Hutchinson (early 90s). It originally had an Ideale leather saddle, fenders, tool bag with tools, and instead of handlebar tape, it had some rubber type of grips of which I'v never seen since.
