 The frame measured from crank center to seat tube top is 60.5cm so expect a 33" stand over.

The Colnago Clover is in honor of Dancelli.

This is a nice Columbus tube frame that was never sold in the USA. The bikeshop that sold this bike is in Germany.


Dancelli was a professional racer, team mate of Eddy Merckx, whose family crest had a clover on it.  When Dancelli won his most famous victory on a Colnago built bike, Colnago adopted the clover as its' emblem.  This is a really great looking bike with solid, clean lugs and nice decals.  The Shimano Golden Arrow deraillers and Gieppeme cranks add a lot to the style and allure.


While this is certainly a rare bike for America it was a popular marquee in Germany.  The frames may have been built by Colnago for a time but were most likely built by Billato, a large but quality building firm that did contracted work.  I've read it would be Columbus SL tubes but you'd have to see more of his pictures to tell.  Probably worth what he's asking for the overall quality and curb appeal.
